CONTRIBUTION
*operations + research

Sarah Carter has 7 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. She is thrilled to bring her experience as a freelancer to b*free, as she believes that working for oneself has the potential for healing and self-determination. Sarah credits b*free with helping her to discover her passion for education and helping students achieve their goals. In August, Sarah will be starting as a college counselor at a Quaker school in Baltimore. Most recently, she was a Program Coordinator at Girls Who Invest, which runs an educational and internship program about asset management for college-aged women. Before that, Sarah worked with PATH, a global health organization based in DC, where she built online tools for maternal and child health professionals in the
developing world, and with Unbound Philanthropy, where she worked with a
team to allocate funds in excess of $4 million dollars to organizations fighting
for immigration reform.

Sarah began her career at the Roosevelt Institute, a think tank focused on progressive economic reform, where she assisted the development team in grant-writing. Sarah earned a BA in Anthropology and International Studies from Kenyon College, and an MSW from the University of Washington in
Seattle.
