Matt is an HR and wellbeing futurist. Born in Australia, Matt co-founded ChapmanCG in Singapore in 2008. It grew to become one of the world’s most reputable HR search companies. When it was fully acquired by the Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Will Group in 2022, ChapmanCG was conducting searches in 69 countries and had developed a network of over 110,000 HR leaders. Matt’s business background is multifaceted. During almost two decades in Singapore, he co-founded and invested in a number of global HR ventures before concentrating on his passion for design and wellbeing. He was one of the creators of Bawah Reserve, a globally acclaimed wellbeing resort.

As the owner and custodian of one of the most breathtaking pieces of land in New Zealand, ‘Edge of the World’ on the South Island, Matt enjoys world-class architecture that is in harmony with the environment. This is a space he selectively shares with his network, welcoming executives and friends keen to learn how he shaped his transition from what he calls his ‘life 1’ to ‘life 2.’ Matt believes in the potential of modern-day technology and progressive thinkers to liberate talent and new-age business possibilities through remote working. ChapmanCG was created as a remote-first global company in 2008, inspired by his love of nature. Matt has successfully completed six 250km ultramarathons in the Atacama, Gobi, Sahara, Antarctica, Namibia and Madagascar. He has a lifelong passion for holistic fitness, nutrition and good habits.
